How does it work?
Area 51-level pixie dust magic, stolen straight from the tippy top of Mount Olympus.

Actually, it's magnets. Magnets, genius programming, and lithium batteries.
And pixie dust.
How do you control it?
Simply put, it goes where you want it to. Leaning forward goes forward, leaning back slows and stops. Its incredibly intuitive.
How fast do they go?
Depends on the model. Some peak at about 15-20mph, others go upwards of 50-60mph. I wouldn't recommend that, though, unless you're experienced and fully geared up.
But hey, you do you.
Where can you ride them?
More like where CAN'T you ride them? These things go anywhere. And everywhere. Even under there. Ha! Made you say "underwear".
How much do they cost?
Entry-level wheels start at about $600, and the price goes up alongside increased power, further range, and advanced features like suspension and speakers. Of course, even the top-end EUCs come in way under the price of any other decent transportation.
